Does anyone read my posts?

So I am trying to figure out if I want to keep adding things to our blog. Is there any way to see how many people enter my page? I just don't want to add anything if I am the only one reading it. I am also trying to think of topics other than surfing and waterfalls that people might be interested in. Any thoughts? Did anyone even read this?

  3. Yeah I read your blog from time to time Poulter. There are counter widgets you can get and there are even ones that show you where in the world people are at that are accessing your blog, but I have no clue where or how to get these, just seen them. Anyways I have enjoyed reading your blog.

  5. I often comment and read your blog... but even if no one reads it, I find it much easier to blog than write in a journal, so you can obey a commandment and keep friends and family informed at the same time.

  6. Randi and I use Google analytics. Here is the site:

    http://www.google.com/analytics/

If you have a gmail account you use that as your username and everything. It gives you instructions on how to get it working. You have to embed something in the html of your blog (sounds complicated, but is pretty simple with the instructions).

Anyway, it gives you information about how many people are visiting your site, where they live, what kind of internet connection they use, how they are linking to your page (for instance, when someone links to our blog from the link on yours, our Google analytics thing shows that someone linked to use from amberandjasonpoulter.blogspot.com). There is a whole lot of other info it gives you, though most of it is unnecessary to us (it is designed for businesses so that they can track their customers). It is kind of interesting to see what random places people are viewing your blog from. We have had people from places like China and Russia look at our blog. Pretty random.

Anyway, after that long winded comment...let's get some soup sometime.

  8. Hey Jason! Tiffany your cuz here. We read your blog! It's one of our favorite pastimes, checking on the lives of various family members via their blogs. You've got my kiddos wanting to move to Hawaii (Mike too)! No surprise there though.:)
